ETHICAL POLICIES OF THE JOURNAL
Publication and authorship
The journal does not accept material that has been previously published. It is the responsibility of the authors to obtain the necessary permissions to reproduce parts of material (text, tables, or figures) from other sources and to cite their origin correctly. The contributions presented here do not necessarily reflect the opinion of the journal and are published under the responsibility of the authors. If an author wishes to include their article in another publication at a later date, the new journal must clearly indicate the details of the original publication, with the prior authorization of the Editor of our journal.
Peer review process
Each article received undergoes a review and selection process. The Editorial Committee conducts an initial review, accepting or rejecting submissions based on their scientific quality, relevance to the journal, and timeliness of the results. The Committee may request modifications and make recommendations to bring the document into line with the journal's guidelines.
Articles are evaluated through a double-blind process by two external academic peers, who may decide whether to:
- Approve without changes
- Approve with minor changes without the need for re-evaluation
- Approve with major changes that require re-evaluation
- Reject the article.
If disputes arise regarding the reviewers' opinions, the Editor will resolve them or, if necessary, request a second or third review.
The anonymity of authors and reviewers is maintained throughout the process. The results of the review are communicated to the author by email, allowing them to make the necessary adjustments. After receiving the corrected article, the journal verifies compliance with the suggestions and analyzes the justifications for any recommendations that have not been addressed. Once this phase has been completed, the article may be returned to the author for further adjustments if necessary. The review and acceptance process can take approximately four months, and receipt of the article does not guarantee its approval and automatic publication.

Authorship policy
In order for a person to be listed as an author, they must have contributed intellectually to the development of the work. Assisting in data collection or participating in a specific technique is not, in itself, sufficient criteria for authorship. In general, to be included as an author, the following requirements must be met:
- Have participated in the conception and realization of the work that resulted in the article in question.
- Have participated in the writing of the text and in any revisions thereof.
- Have approved the version that will ultimately be published.
The Journal declines any responsibility for possible conflicts arising from the authorship of the works published.
The Journal adheres to the guidelines of the COPE
- Transfer of copyright
The judgments and opinions expressed in the articles and communications published in the journal are those of the author(s) and not necessarily those of the Editorial Committee or the institution that publishes them.
- Readers' rights
Readers have the right to read all articles free of charge immediately after publication. This publication does not charge any fees for publication or access to its material.
- Machine readability and interoperability
The full text, metadata, and citations of articles can be tracked and accessed with permission. Our open social policy allows for the readability of files and their metadata, promoting interoperability under the OAI-PMH open data and open source protocol. Files are available in HTML and PDF formats, making them easy to read on any device and computer platform.
Code of ethics
- Duties of authors
Originality and plagiarism
All articles must be original works of the authors and must not contain evidence of plagiarism.
Acknowledgement of sources
If authors have used the work or words of others, they must cite them appropriately.
Multiple, redundant, or concurrent publication
Authors should not submit the same article to more than one journal at the same time.
Access and Retention
If the Editor or members of the Editorial Board deem it necessary, authors must make available the sources or data on which the research is based. These may be retained for a reasonable time after publication and, possibly, made accessible.
- Duties of the Editor
Publication Decisions
The Editor is responsible for deciding which articles submitted to the journal will be published. This decision must be guided by the policies of the Editorial Board and based solely on the academic merit and the reviewers' evaluations.
Honesty
The Editor must evaluate articles solely on their intellectual content, without distinction based on the authors' race, gender, sexual orientation, religious beliefs, ethnic origin, citizenship, or political philosophy.
Confidentiality
The Editor and any member of the editorial team must not disclose information about submitted articles to anyone other than the corresponding author, reviewers, potential reviewers, or editorial advisors, as necessary.
Duties of Reviewers
Contribution to Editorial Decisions
Peer review is essential for editors to make informed decisions about the publication of articles.
Timeliness
If a selected reviewer feels unqualified or unable to review the article in time, they should inform the Editor and withdraw from the review process.
Confidentiality
Articles received for review should be treated as confidential documents and should not be shown or discussed with others without the Editor's permission.
Standards of Objectivity
Reviews should be conducted objectively, avoiding personal criticism of the authors.
Reviewers should express their opinions clearly and with well-founded arguments.
Acknowledgment of Sources
Reviewers should identify relevant published works that have not been cited by the authors. They should accompany any previously reported arguments with the corresponding citation and alert the Editor to any significant similarity or overlap between the article under review and other published documents they are aware of.
Conflict of interest
The journal requires authors to declare any commercial association that may create a conflict of interest with the article submitted. Given the nature of potentially publishable articles, competing interests may arise that affect editorial impartiality. Therefore, each author should make every effort to identify them. Along with the article and the statement of commitment, authors must send a communication to the journal clearly indicating the existence of conflicts of interest, specifying each one, and mentioning the source of funding for the research, as well as any relevant commercial, financial, or personal links.
Procedure for duplication
For the duplication of texts, which involves copying or reproducing content in a new format, the journal follows this procedure: all duplicated material will bear a legend that clearly identifies it as such and distinguishes it from the original. The applicant must complete the internal duplication request form and send it to the journal's email address, even if the duplication is determined by the journal itself.
Procedure regarding originality and plagiarism
For the purposes of this policy, originality is considered from two perspectives: the certainty that the work is by the declared author and its novelty in relation to other creations. Plagiarism implies that the work must be differentiated from copies, forgeries, or unauthorized uses of fragments of other works. Authors must guarantee the originality of the articles and the accuracy of the data and results, ensuring that the contents have not been copied, invented, distorted, or manipulated.
The journal totally rejects plagiarism and the unauthorized use of third-party content, as well as multiple or redundant publication, considering them serious breaches of ethics. Authors should avoid submitting texts to the journal that are being considered simultaneously for publication elsewhere, although they may publish content that expands on previously published material, provided that it is properly cited.
Conflict of interest events involving reviewers
Reviewers must declare any conflict of interest related to the articles they review. Such conflicts arise when there is a direct personal or professional relationship with the author, enmity, a connection with the underlying research, or a moral or ethical conflict with the subject matter. In general, members of the editorial team and external reviewers should refrain from reviewing works if they find themselves in any of these situations.
The journal's editorial team will also avoid selecting reviewers who may be affected by these conflicts.
Privacy statement
The journal allows the photocopying of articles and texts for academic or internal institutional purposes, provided that the source is properly cited. The names and email addresses provided to the journal will be used solely for the purposes established by the journal and will not be shared for other purposes or with third parties.
DOI System
The journal uses the DOI system, which provides a technical and social infrastructure for registering and using identifiers in digital networks. This ensures accurate and reliable referencing of articles in the digital environment.
Plagiarism detection
Papers submitted by authors to the Journal will be checked using anti-plagiarism software (URKUND). The results will be communicated to the authors by correspondence in cases where the similarity exceeds 10%. Papers with a similarity of less than 10% will proceed to editorial and blind peer review.
