Análisis comparativo de dos técnicas de aclaramiento dental. Un enfoque desde las nuevas tecnologías

Tooth whitening is a popular procedure to improve facial aesthetics, with white teeth being associated with a more attractive appearance. The clinical protocol involves a non-invasive pharmacological treatment that uses oxy-reduction to break down organic pigments in the teeth, creating a whitening effect. There are different methods, including in-office and outpatient whitening, with the use of high-concentration hydrogen peroxide gels for the former and carbamide peroxide for the latter. These gels are applied at specific times, depending on the method, to achieve the desired tooth whitening. OBJECTIVE: Compare the clinical effects of outpatient and office teeth whitening techniques. MATERIALS AND METHODS: In this study, the universe consists of 30 patients from the Alldent Ruiz consulting room. The sample is chosen according to inclusion criteria (over 18 years of age, without carious lesions or enamel or periodontal alterations). The methodology is prospective, quali-quantitative, with a quasi-experimental and descriptive design. It will be carried out through clinical inspection, data collection and interviews. A tooth whitening treatment will be carried out in the non-random sample, comparing the results of different procedures. In addition, an observational design will be used for patient selection and variable analysis. The research combines bibliographic and field information to describe the object of study and the field of research.
